HNA Engineering, PLLC was formed in 2015 by the Owner, Raymond Hoffman, P.E. The company is based in downtown, Statesville, North Carolina with a satellite office, outside of Durham, NC. Our team of professionals is small in size, but large in experience, and fully dedicated to solid waste in North Carolina. The team includes seasoned landfill managers, a senior geotechnical engineer, environmental managers, engineering technicians, and administrative assistants who have chosen to enter the solid waste field with great enthusiasm, open minds, and a strong desire to share their learned skills as they develop their experiences.

Our Team

Our dynamic team will work with our clients as needed to develop strategies that will support the County with guidance for successful, short, and long-term solid waste operations. Our capabilities and proficiencies to operate profitable environmentally compliant, and protective of human health landfills, transfer stations, and other solid waste operations come from our team of professionals that have long-term experience working within one of the largest private waste corporations in the nation and largest in the state. The knowledge gained from these private waste companies will be passed on for the benefit of our clients. We will gather historical information to familiarize our Team with the Facility and to facilitate future needs and development. We can provide guidance on best management practices to help our client’s with maximizing their investments. The HNA-E team focuses 100% of our time on permitting projects in North Carolina.
